Campaign on Road safety awareness on the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway

In an initiative to bring awareness and educate the drivers about road safety and the traffic disciplines, the volunteers of The Earth Saviour Foundation a well known N.G.O in Delhi has organized a campaign on Road safety awareness on the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway along with the DSC Ltd.

During the campaign the volunteers of The Earth Saviours Foundation, the corridor control staff of the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway along with the children from different schools have displayed the banners near the KM-24 toll plaza. The activity also involves distributing of leaflets in the cash lanes with written messages such as Do not mix drink and drive, Follow Traffic Rules, fasten your seat belt while driving, drive in your lane, keep distance between other vehicles on the road, do not blow horn unnecessary, never over take from the wrong side, never use mobile while driving, watch left and right before over taking always etc.

Speaking on the safety campaign, Ravi Kalra Founder President, The Earth Saviour Foundation said, “We are one of the few NGO’s working sincerely towards safety of motorists and improving driving etiquettes of commuters on the Delhi & NCR roads. We feel the driving habits of the motorists traveling on the Delhi Gurgaon expressway has to be immensely improved. The efforts on the expressway by our volunteers will be yet another step in this direction”.

Commenting on the initiative, Sachin Sharma, Vice President Tolling Operations, DSC Limited, said - “safety of passengers and motorists is our top most concern and priority. Our safety investments extend to a full-fledged corridor control and safety team of around 500 personnel working 24X7 divided into several teams manning the entire expressway. Besides this our safety corridor control has adequate patrolling vehicles which include 18 motorbikes, 4 jeeps, 3 recovery vehicles and 2 ambulances”.

“The initiative by The Earth Saviours Foundation will surely help in increasing the awareness and education on road safety amongst commuters. As a part of this campaign we expect to increase driver education and will request commuters to carefully observe and comply on the safety norms for a safer journey” Mr. Sharma further added.

The Earth Saviours Foundation is the N.G.O. who is still continuing its best of efforts single handedly for the Anti Honking Awareness Campaign to educate the drivers, no to blow horn unnecessarily while driving for the stress free living and better environment. The Chief Minister of Delhi Mrs. Shela Dixit has also agreed to boost the No Honking Campaign by participating the Road Show which will be held on 13th march at can naught place said Ravi Karla the President of the Earth Saviours Foundation.
